Additional Information:
Please keep in mind:
Our Barn Rules:
- Due to having unreliable weather during winter we do not have that great of area/space for horses to be ridden/test ridden and tend to get a lot of ice. Our indoor is not usable due to hay storage and 24/7 feeding. Appointments may be held back until a certain month in the Spring to provide safer riding conditions for both the horses and people. We usually post if we have to stop showing horses until a certain date.
- All horses are UTD on vaccinations, worming, and farrier.
- We do ask that you bring your own halter and lead rope if you decide to purchase, if possible, thank you!
- Prices are subject to change and will naturally increase with training.
- We do not sell to minors. Parents must be in contact with us first and in person at the time of meeting the horse or test riding.
- We're not very open to negotiations unless it is stated within the ad. All of our horses are owned and ridden by a trainer who puts consistent time into each and every single one. They receive a lot more training and ride time than their price already reflects, especially our homeborn horses.
Please keep in mind:
- Our animal's wellbeing is more important than getting them sold and a good fit is a must. Due to misunderstanding, some of our horses will be up for sale for a couple of years before we decide on the appropriate home so, please do not expect that an appointment means you're for sure the right fit and you will be bringing that horse home with you. If we do not feel you're a good fit, we will let this be known. We also tend to take horses off the sales list here and there if there isn't enough interest immediately and decide to keep them for our current riding season for someone in particular. They may come back up for sale by winter (So don't hesitate to ask if you've been watching a particular horse and they're not still listed).
- Due to harsh handling by previous potential buyers, we do not allow people to do groundwork with our sale horses prior to purchase on our property. Unless you're willing to be instructed on how to do groundwork the way they have been trained here. We're more than happy to show you the horse's groundwork as it has been trained to do or show you how to do so yourself.
- We do not specifically sell kid broke horses. While we might think a horse may be wonderfully suitable for a kid, it doesn't mean it'll be wonderfully suited for every kid. We try to stay away from the "kid safe" label. No horse is bomb proof. If we feel they may have potential for it, it will be listed.
- We do not offer trials, returns, or leases on any of our sales horses. We do not know what you have done with the horse physically or mentally after it has left our farm, and we refuse to take that chance. We appreciate anyone who takes the time to thoroughly research and prepare themselves for buying a horse whether that is the specific breed, history, or any future plans you may have before deciding to purchase. We do not push sales!
- Please do not show up to our facility and start doing whatever you please, we will send you home. If you would like to see a horse being caught and straight out from the pasture, please mention so ahead of time and we will have them in a pasture and allow you to go catch the horse yourself. We want you to get the full picture, but this is not your property to do as you please. (This means NO entering pastures, barns, stalls, etc. without permission!)
- It helps greatly to learn as much as we can about what you're looking for and your experience in the horse world to ensure a good life for our horses and a good fit for yourself. We love to hear from every potential buyer! So please don't hesitate to ask as many questions as you feel is necessary, we really do not mind!
- We tend to have a few homebred horses available for sale a year or projects taken in to train and re-home. Feel free to come chat or ask any questions you may have! If you'd like to stay more in contact feel free to follow our Facebook page here: Spirit Creek Arabians or message us!
- If you have purchased from us, Celeste is always willing to stay in contact with a new owner for any questions they may have on training or if help is needed.
- We do not mind trying to advertise or rehome previous horses we have already sold so don't be afraid to ask! Many times, we have bought or taken them back. They still mean a lot to us after they leave, we want the best for them! Plus, many times, we have several previously interested persons in that specific horse that would love the opportunity to buy them!

- We do not have a restroom available to the public so please be aware of that before coming onto the property, our apologies! There are plenty of stops in Wanamingo which is only 4 minutes away from us.
- Any animal abuse or mistreatment at any time on our property will result in permanent banning from our Facility and any services we offer. Whether the horse is ours or your own. We take this very seriously.
Every horse I have in for training that becomes available for sale from us goes through a rigorous training and desensitization program with a combination of methods based on positive reinforcement and liberty work. I am constantly learning and adding more into my training program as my experience continues. Primarily following/studying trainers such as Buck Brannaman, Tom Dorrance, and Ray Hunt. Each and every horse is trained at their own pace. It is well known that every horse is it's own individual and they're treated and trained in that way.
A solid foundation is of most importance in my methods. I personally prefer a horse of solid mind with their personality and natural being intact. Horses in my training program learn how to be patient, willing, and personable through my methods which shows through in most, if not every single horse. Helping many abused/mistrusting horses. Desensitization, groundwork, and trail training are a consistent routine as the basics to create a good future for the horse after they leave here.
Under saddle, my goal is always to create a soft, forward, and confident horse that anyone with horse experience can get on and ride. At the end of their training, the horses are continuously ridden out on trails as well as being ridden by several other riders under strict guidance of myself to continue getting miles put into them until sold. Many horses I have trained that we have decided to keep are now being main trail mounts for beginner riders and helping teach people to ride. Although, I do not train under one specific discipline, horses I have trained have gone on to compete in many different disciplines, as well as be versatile enough to do more than one!
I have references upon request as well as our testimonial page.
Most of our homebred horses we have for sale have been handled since birth, trained, and primarily ridden by a professional trainer for months. Being properly evaluated, trained, consistently ridden, and trail ridden until sold. Many do not have nor develop any bad habits/issues while being here as they already have a clean slate. Depending on when a horse is sold, this means the horse can have anywhere from 1-10+ months of professional training and riding put into them before they're sold which does show in their pricing and is why we do not do much for negotiating. We also turn away people when it is not the right fit. We do this so the horse can have the best future possible from what we can do on our end. We don't just breed, to breed. We breed each and every horse for a purpose and to show how amazing the Arabian horse breed really can be.
